Gorgeous panoramic views of the Lump just left us speechless, and we could not believe it is so quiet and not crowded when it is located right behind the Harbour, and it is so close to the town centre. Even the short walk offered great coastal views for the photos, and we enjoyed the view of Portree’s Harbour from another angle. So we just walked around 10 minutes to the viewpoint, took a break and then turned back. We didn’t walk the entire trail since the hill was getting steep, and our little one wasn’t in the mood for the long hike on that day. Scorrybreac circuit is a beautiful 3km loop on the edge of the Portree, great for a short hike when you have spare time. However, the place is well worth the stroll down the hill, even if just to take photos of the marbled buildings. People mostly come here for boarding boat trips or have a nice meal from one of the local cafes. These features on the harbour shore provide this place with a very picturesque combination of bright colours and a natural landscape right behind the houses. Even cruise ships started docking near the port. Portree is popular for all types of visitors, from camping fans to luxury accommodation in the downtown with stunning views over the old port. Popular fishing port for the last few hundred years, and today it is a tourist destination with everything for a comfortable and enjoyable stay for its visitors.
